I came across a diet today that I’ve never heard of: the zone diet. I read a little bit into it, but not enough to have become a master at it’s philosophy. It’s very interesting, though, just how much information is on the internet these days about all of these diets.
Also, it is very important to read as much as you can about every single diet so you can compile your own ideas and beliefs about it before you start. This way, you can gather all different viewpoints, strategies, comments, thoughts/idea and results that may be associated with the diet plan.
The Zone Diet
If you want a great starting point when starting your research on the zone diet, check out this article on Medical News Today. Here, you can read an overview on the plan and find out why the zone diet works.
I would be very curious to do a little more research and find a few people who have attempted the zone diet in the past and what they think about it. Its seems very focused toward food and proper nutrition, rather than spending more time explaining proper exercise and habits.
I think I would identify well with the zone diet, because I believe that weight loss is 75% proper nutrition and 25% exercise and weight training. Do a little research on the zone diet and see what you think.
I hope to hear from somebody who has done it before so I can get a better idea on ow it all works.
Easy Weight Loss Tip #8
Today’s easy weight loss tip of the day is one which could put a few more smiles on your face. Make sure to use the same scale when you weight yourself every single time. Using different scales could be a setback while on your weight loss journey.
I should know, I have a reputation of using whatever scale I’m closest to. Considering that all scales read differently, and no two scales will be EXACTLY the same, you should get yourself a scale and stick with that specific one.
If you know you weight exactly 210.8 pounds, and you have for the past week, then get on a scale that reads 212.8 then you’re going to feel pretty bad. On the other hand, if you see a 208.0, then you’ve just given yourself justification to eat that cheesecake for desert.
This, of course, when you don’t really weight 208.0 pounds. Also, be sure to ONLY weight yourself in the mornings. That is when your body is closest to it’s true weight.
Weight Loss Cheat Food #8
Taco Bell!!! Yeah, I said it. So, what? You can indulge in a nice crunchy taco and still not intake many calories. Obviously, and as I’ll always right, we can always do without fast food. We can all empower out minds to stay away from bad food and empty calories.
However, we all need that one meal of bad food to keep us straight. Today, that cheat food is a crunchy taco from Taco Bell. The regular crunchy taco (not supreme or any other upgrade) is 170 calories. All in all, not as bad as it could be if you add sour cream.
Three of those puppies equal a total of 510 calories. Yeah, it could be worse. And a lot of people would be proud of you if you rolled through Taco Bell and only took in 510 calories. To make this even sweeter, go with the Fresco crunchy taco (without cheese) and you’re looking at 150 calories each.
Three of the Fresco’s equal 450, even better! Not bad for a “cheat food” dinner…eh?
What to Remember – 7/13/12
1) Check out the zone diet
2) Try to always use the same scale
3) Yeah, lose weight with Taco Bell!
